Why music hits different in a band
The fastest way back into music is a band around you. In Bandclass®, your fun comes first, not learning notes, and the stage is part of the plan.
01
Your fun comes first
Play the songs you like, in a band of 5 to 9 adults at a similar level. No experience required, no gear needed.
02
Band, instrument and live sessions in one
Weekly 45-minute sessions alternate between instrument skills and band jams, and your rockstar mentors prepare you for regular live shows.
03
Connect through music
Create new personal bonds and understanding through music, with people who share your passion.
Not a course you sit through. A band you belong to, with a real show on the calendar.
Joona, Elise & Alex · Guitar, vocals & drums
Joona, mid-set with Oktobernatt
Joona · Guitar
Gigs in Germany & internationally with ‘Oktobernatt’.
Originally from Finland, Joona holds a BA in Popular Music Performance from BIMM University and a Songwriting diploma from Rytmi Instituutti. He records as a session guitarist and gigs across Germany and internationally with his band ‘Oktobernatt’.
A guitar mentor who brings that stage energy straight into your session: motivating, fun, and always inside a real band.
Elise, between takes in the studio
Elise · Vocals
Played Flow Festival Helsinki supporting MALLA. Debut single ‘Cybernation’.
Originally from Finland, Elise is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, trained in Music Production at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology. Her debut single ‘Cybernation’ follows performances at Helsinki’s iconic Flow Festival supporting MALLA, and her stage presence carries echoes of Madonna, Sinead O’Connor and Jim Morrison.
Between her own shows, Elise is the vocal coach behind our Bandclass singers. Her sessions feel safe from the first note, and push just enough: you find your own voice and the attitude to match, with a whole band behind you.
Alex, somewhere between two festival sets
Alex · Drums
Drummer for Auger. Tours and festivals across Europe.
A drummer and producer certified in Music Production by the Catalyst Institute, Alex splits his time between the studio, working with songwriters and filmmakers, and the stage with Auger.
Between tours, Alex mentors our adult bands with the same approach he brings to his own: feeling the music and playing it your own way comes before virtuosic shredding, and the pure joy of playing runs through every session.

Adult Bandclass questions, answered
I've never played an instrument. Can I start?
Yes. Most Bandclass Adults start from zero. Bands are matched by level, the band carries you, and your fun comes first, not learning notes.
How much time does it take?
One 45-minute session per week, in the evening, plus as much home practice as you feel like. The band keeps you motivated without pressure.
Can we book this for our company or team?
Yes. Our three-hour band workshop takes teams of 5 to 15: form bands, learn a simplified song and perform live, with gear, snacks and drinks provided. Ask us for a quote.
Are sessions available in English?
Yes. All sessions run in English and German as standard, and mentors switch mid-song if needed.
Do I need my own instrument?
No. Guitars, drums, amps and mics are set up and ready at the studio in Berlin-Mitte. For home practice, your mentor advises on what to get, and when.
