A drummer and producer certified in Music Production by the Catalyst Institute, Alex splits his time between the studio, working with songwriters and filmmakers, and the stage with Auger.

Between tours, Alex is the drum teacher in Berlin our Bandclass drummers look up to. Feeling the music and playing it your own way comes before virtuosic shredding, and the pure joy of playing runs through every session.

Do I need my own drum kit?

No. Professional kits are set up and ready at our drum school in Berlin-Mitte. For home, a practice pad and a pair of sticks cover the first months, and your mentor will tell you when it is time for more.

From what age can kids learn drums?

Bandclass Kids takes drummers from 7 to 17. Mini Rockers (ages 4 to 6) builds rhythm playfully before your kid moves to the full kit.

Is drumming too loud to practice at home?

Most families practice on a quiet pad or an e-kit with headphones. The loud part happens at our studio. That is the point.

Are drum lessons available in English?

Yes. We run drum lessons in English in Berlin as standard: mentors teach in English, German or both, switching mid-song if needed.

Can complete beginners start?

Yes. Beginner drum lessons in Berlin are our home turf: no experience needed, all equipment provided, and you play real songs from the first session.
